Pool House

Medina Pool Pavilion

This pavilion for entertaining and bathing accompanies a fully renovated and expanded mid-century modern home first designed by noted Seattle architect Ibsen Nelson.  Located in Medina, Washington, the wall and roof planes have been pushed/pulled apart and made translucent to create a sense of air and light, and captures the Owner’s goal of a “modern industrial Japanese teahouse”.

Medina

This cubist-inspired, mid-century modern home was originally constructed in 1970, designed by noted Seattle architect Ibsen Nelson.  An angular wing added in the 80's. Our design restores the original architect’s geometry, but re-invents the plan.

Somerset

Perched on a Bellevue hillside, the very modern, low profile of the structure spreads and steps across the site to capture commanding views of Lake Washington, Bellevue and Seattle skylines, and Olympic Mountains.

Fitting a very small site on Seattle’s Queen Anne Hill, this 3500 square foot home is a composition of contrasts, with solid, modern brick surfaces creating strong shoulders for the large glass openings.
